Following a trip to the West Indies, seed pods became a hook. Limitless possiblities and much more visually acceptable than the earlier work which tended to frigten the horses.
Seeds and pods have always served the imagination in literature and image making. Abstracting the organic forms found in seeds and pods to explore the human condition.
Vivienne Lawton has been using coffee as a wash, drawing over it with pen, pencil, painting with acrylic, inks etc...generally experimenting to see what happens..
